Clubs and Societies

There is much more to campus life than lectures and study. Clubs are a great way to meet others with similar interests and can be of a social, sporting or academic nature. If there isn’t a club that suits your needs, why not get some friends together and start one? For more info contact Campus Central on 4348 4260.

Current Campus Central Clubs:

Exercise and Sports Science Club (ESS)

The ESS Club is developed and lead by students, dedicated to developing social and professional interaction between all members, students, lecturers and associates. We organise a variety of activities on campus such as the annual UNI SPRING BEACH PARTY, trivia nights, BBQs and sporting championships. Professional Development courses include sports strapping, sports massage and other courses run at NSW Sport and Recreation on campus.

Being a member of the ESS Club entitles you to discounts to all of these activities and courses, with membership being only $15! On joining you also receive a sports drink bottle and discounts for the University Games held all over Australia. For more info or to join, visit the Campus Central office! Facebook

Ourimbah Christian Students (OCS)

Enter a discussion with fellow students and you will soon discover there are many Christians on the Ourimbah Campus. Ourimbah Christian Students is a student group that aims to connect Christian students with each other, and equip, support and encourage all Christians on campus. Additionally OCS recognises that all students are formulating life plans and goals – investigating what matters and what doesn’t matter, developing skills to achieve these goals and looking to meet friends who will partner them on the journey.

Nurses 4 Nurses

Nurses 4 nurses is a new social group for nursing students. This group aims to help students help each other with studying and social events. We also want to get involved in charity work, the idea of the group is to start making a difference as a nurse before we even graduate. Membership is only $5 and includes, exclusive invites to social events and free BBQs for members. All money raised goes back into the group to assist with events, charities and annual scholarships for members.

The University of Newcastle Oral Health Society (UNOHS)

UNOHS is a great way to meet other Oral Health students, socialise and support each other in our studies. Get involved and have a say about what you want your club to do for you!

Ourimbah Film and Literature Society (OLAFS)

We aim to promote reading and film viewing and provide a positive environment for literary students to socialise.
